WHAT IS AN ACADEMIC PROBATION?

Academic probation is a period of time during which a student's academic performance is closely monitored due to subpar grades or failure to meet certain academic standards set by the institution. Students on academic probation may be required to meet with academic advisors, attend study skills workshops, or take other steps to improve their academic performance. Failure to improve during the probationary period may result in further disciplinary actions such a withdrawal or repetition of the previous calendar year.
